The Time is Later…Obviously
There is a reason I call President Obama a bulldozer, a snake, a slippery fish. Today, Obama once again declared, “The Time is Now!” This time around, he’s talking about health care. He has done the same thing, however, with everything else he has thrown a tantrum about in the past.
Health Care
“I know there are some who believe that reform is too expensive, but I can assure you that doing nothing will cost us far more in the coming years,” Obama said. “Our deficits will be higher. Our premiums will go up. Our wages will be lower, our jobs will be fewer, and our businesses will suffer.”
“If we do not act boldly and swiftly, a bad situation could become dramatically worse.”
Stimulus (from various speeches and sources)
“…we can’t afford to make perfect the enemy of the absolutely necessary. The scale and scope of this plan is right. And the time for action is now.”
“Millions more Americans will lose their jobs. Homes will be lost. Families will go without health care. Our crippling dependence on foreign oil will continue. That is the price of inaction.”
“The American people have rendered their judgment. And now is the time to move forward, not back. Now is the time for action.”
Is anyone else seeing a theme here? If so, this is important, there are/were more than enough professional, qualified individuals that challenged and are still in opposition to Obama’s plans and Blitzkrieg style legislation.
Before the Stimulus passed, the Cato Institute published this advertisement, HERE, showing that not all economists agreed with the President’s idea of what would turn around the economy.
Not only that, but the current administration continues to lie and talk out of both sides of its insidious mouth to get their job done.
“There will be, I will say it again, there will be no earmarks in this economic recovery plan. President-elect Obama and I are absolutely determined that this economic recovery package will not become a Christmas tree.” – Joe Biden
“Then there’s the argument, well, this is full of pet projects. When was the last time that we saw a bill of this magnitude move out with no earmarks in it? Not one.” – Barack Obama (Oh, ok, thanks, BO. Whatever you say goes!)
The time is now…
to be slow to speak and quick to listen
to let the American people catch up, after all, you work for us, Barack.
to let the people make decisions for you, not the other way around.
Maybe I will forward this to President Obama. I think he needs a reminder:
“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise.” – Proverbs 12:15 (from the Bible, not the Holy Koran)
